Steps sync between Garmin Fenix and Samsung Health

Hello,

There seems to be no way of getting Samsung Health to sync with a Garmin watch in order to have the steps data sent to the app. For a while I have used a 3rd party app called Health Sync and it worked great ... until it didn't. Sometime in the spring/summer the steps sync was "disabled" because Samsung decided to stop receiving step data from  partner apps.
Does anybody have any sort of alternative solution to send the steps data from my Garmin to the Samsung Health app?

I called Samsung Tech Support to inquire prior to getting a new phone. Sadly with the new update to Samsung Health this year,it no longer accepts outside data. I actually never knew that it did in the first place (!) 

I need to get a Garmin to sync, communicate with external websites to enter stats, so I hope the new S20 5G I just upgraded will allow me to install Garmin, but I'll have to use tat app separately
