That it does it manually trigger the app optimisation process within android. It will happen automatically anyway, just over night.
To explain a little better.
Every phone is a but different, every app is designed to work on every phone. When an app is downloaded, it runs and works fine. When the phone is on charge and the user isn't using it, the phone optimises the app to run faster and be more efficient on the phone.
After each update, the optimisation process resets.
What galaxy app booster does is manually trigger that optimisation process to happen all at once and when the user says so.
So yes it will help, though waiting a few days will have the phone just do it automatically too.
Oh and I should say it's not on most A series devices, usually just S series.

So if there was an app you were using a few hours ago, it stops it running to free up memory. The phone will do this automatically so it's kinda useless

The app (good guardians - not good lock like I by mistake wrote originally) is available on my A16, and I believe on most A phones with the one UI 7 update available.
