Sim won't work

I've just got an upgrade and my sim won't work, keeps telling me 'not registered on network' Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? 
Note.- I have checked I've put the sim in right.

Try manual searching for network instead of auto and let me know

Sims can take up to 24 hours to be activated. If you are getting those messages you aren't doing anything wrong.

Sounds like network haven't activated new Sim .. just contact their customer services with the new Sim number 👍

The sim isn't new, just the phone. I've moved the sim from my old phone into my new one.

That's odd then.. maybe they ported your number to a new Sim and didn't include it? or have they moved you to eSIM.?. Contact your network 👍

Not sure what the latest is with this query but if the sim still works in the old phone or another different phone then there could be a issue or set up issue with the new phone.

If the sim doesn't work in any other phone then looks like when the upgrade was done... a replacement sim must have been activated at some point yet you never got it. If that's happened then the network messed up.
