Hi,
I'VE recently set up the secure folder on my Fold 6. I'VE been able to add some of the apps I want but there seem to be quite a few that either don't show up as available to add or won't download into the secure folder. One example being Google Messages, Samsung Messages doesn't show up either.

Is there a way to get any app to be added to the folder? I've had a quick search of the forum but nothing came up.

Cheers

Google messages and samsung messages wouldn't work. The secure folder doesn't get access to the sim card or cell things, so they'd never be able to send or receive anything.

It should just be "if the app list doesn't work, use the play or galaxy store". Though it seems some system apps might not work even with trying that

Hope this helps.

What is the Secure Folder and how do I use it? | Samsung UK https://share.google/1Fjgho0z4kmpRs6qF

I did manage to add Google Calendar and email but I have noticed that I've not received alerts for new emails. I guess that would be similar to the messages app. I've got my banking app to work in it and send me notifications, all be it with the content hidden, which I'm fine with. My main aim is to get a good level of security on my apps and was thinking the folder would do that. Any suggestions on what I could do?

Gmail should work, just make sure you're signed in. As google logins are separated by the secure folder sorta barrier. As for not getting notifications, depending on your secure folder settings, you might have it to secure folder apps stop working when the secure folder is locked.

Honestly unless you have other people using your phone, the normal security should be enough to keep things safe.

Not all apps are supported in Secure Folder, Google Messages and Samsung Messages can't be added so you'll only be able to install apps that are compatible or available in Secure Folder's own Play Store/Galaxy Store.
