Not really no. There are bugs now and again, as there are with every bit of software from every company. As for data harvesting, you can just toggle it off and withdraw consent. It's not forced. Though that also applies to everything you use on the internet in modern times

I'm with Fractal, F Samsung they F***ed my phone with there update. Had to buy a new phone and it's not a Samsung. You owe me £239 Samsung.

Update issues are solved with emergency software recovery. If an update ever fails and the phone bricks, you can almost always recover a phone and get it working again via that method

The update didn't fail it loaded ok then F****ed my phone with no sim recognition and severe battery drain. Yes did try everything suggested including full reset. Tried to roll back to UI7 with Odin guess what it wont let you. What a joke.
