Samsung Reminder – I love it but...

I'm going to admit it, I'm a productivity junky. I've tried all the apps, Todoist, Any.do, Evernote, and I even had a brief stint with Things during a 2-year flirtation with Apple (don't judge me). After all that, the tool best is the humble Samsung Reminder app, especially when paired with Calendar when working with a timeboxing methodology. And this is where maybe I'd like to see a couple of feature additions.

I get that Reminder is set up as a basic, no-thrills to-do list, which is its strength. But what would be really useful is either:
  • The ability to add an end time to a task so that it appears in the Calendar as a timeboxed event.
  • Or the capability to convert a Task in Reminder to a Calendar event for the same reason.
Finally, it's difficult to attach Notes outputs to a task unless they are exported to jpg, and even then, I have to upload to OneDrive first and then attach.

I understand that Samsung have a tie up with Microsoft and their own todo list app, but I'd much rather use Reminder.

I don't know if anybody else has an opinion either way but personally, I'd love to see these small tweaks made to this humble but essential app.

Agreed. As a workaround I personally use Google Docs. It's a faff and in no way automated, but it syncs to Google drive which is handy for me. I have to create a Google Doc file and then attach it to a calender event, but at least that way I get a start and end time.

It would be so much easier to do it in Reminder and have it all automated.

Have you already given feedback on this via the support tab in members app? If not then please do.

Will do. I think it's such an underrated app. Critical part of my workflow.
