Samsung cancelled my Care+ insurance with no warning - Refusing to reinstate

I was on holiday when I received an email from Assurance to "confirm" my Care+ insurance has been cancelled. When I got home I went on live chat with Samsung to an extremely unhelpful agent who was also quite patronising. I have emailed myself the transcript of the chat. I was told he cannot see the reason my policy was cancelled, but he cannot also reinstate this as the system "doesn't have that button". 

After paying for Care+ for a year, I feel scammed that my insurance was cancelled randomly, with no warning, and no correspondence from Samsung. The only correspondence I got was from their underwriters, Assurance.

Was told this couldn't be escalated as Samsung don't have "that department". 

Therefore I'm publicly making this available to advise anyone to AVOID Care+. Has anyone else had an experience like this, and were you able to get it reinstated?

Have you actually checked on your phone in the settings and about phone ? A few other people got the same email but after checking it shows as activated and it looks like a system email error.

Good idea.. Still shows activated but the cancellation email I received from Assurance shows it will stay active until the end of the month and then cancel out. They are unable to reinstate the policy as it was cancelled by Samsung

Does it show your end date on the phone itself? Mine shows covered until 1st Feb 2027

It's cancelled for sure, at least for me anyway. The email is from Assurant and they confirmed it's been cancelled by Samsung. Still shows active on my about screen though.... but it's definitely cancelled

Contact assurant themselves, there's been a previous post about this and they emailed and asked and assurant confirmed it was active still. The email you recieved most likely was from Samsung, as I recieved the same.

😕 and they're unable to reinstate as was cancelled by Samsung. Samsung say they don't have the reason for it on their system, and refuse to reinstate too. Round in circles1740224711013.jpg
