Red Dots

Am I alone in being vexed by red dots on Icons that you can't find out what is wrong that needs your attention or you find it cure it but have to reboot before the red dot dissappears

Are you talking about notification app badges? You can turn them off in settings - Notifications- advanced settings.

I don't want to turn them off. I just want to have a standard meaning so I can address the "problem/notification/benefit" they are trying to tell me about.

In other words an industry standard
