Recent button switching apps

Hello, 

Is there a way to stop the recents button from switching to another app automatically when I press it? Since One UI 7 installed i find that when I'm in an app, tap the recents button and go to swipe up on it to close the app, it's a different app selected. Very frustrating.

Mine opens with the last app opened at the front of the stack on one ui 8. There's a setting in the home up module in good lock to get the last app opened at the front. I think the normal setting is the last app opened is in the middle but should still be the first one showing.
