📣 Feature Request: Preserve Active Pop-Up Windows When Going Home (Like Vivo Does)

Device: Galaxy Z Fold 7
Software: One UI 8.0
Issue Type: UI/UX Behavior Inconsistency

---

Description:

On my previous device (Vivo X Fold 2), I could open an app like YouTube in a pop-up window, have another app running full screen behind it, and then swipe up to go Home to switch apps — without the pop-up window closing or minimizing. The video in the pop-up would keep playing, and I could continue multitasking fluidly.

However, on my Galaxy Z Fold 7, when I swipe up to go Home while a pop-up window is open, the pop-up is forcibly minimized into a floating icon, and the app (e.g. YouTube) stops playing. This disrupts multitasking and breaks the flow of using pop-ups for persistent media or tool apps.

---

Expected Behavior when swiping Home:

Keep pop-up windows live and visible over the home screen or allow them to persist if another app is quickly launched.

Do not forcibly minimize the pop-up into a floating bubble unless the user chooses to do so.

---

Why This Matters:

It limits the usefulness of pop-up windows, which should be persistent by design.

Other OEMs like Vivo and Xiaomi allow seamless pop-up use across all app contexts, including the home screen.

For multitaskers and power users, it feels like a step backward from what competitors offer.

---

Suggestion:

Please consider adding a toggle in Advanced Features or Labs to allow users to keep pop-ups active when navigating home. This would massively improve productivity and bring One UI’s multitasking closer to the competition.
