Have you got Developer Options enabled? If so , what I did was switch it off. Then switch the motion smoothness down to 60 Hz. Then restart your phone. Give it a minute or so to reboot everything.
Then I turned motion smoothness back on to 120 Hz. Then I enabled Developer Options again.
