Will samsung get their heads out of their ass and let you revert to a previous ui. This ui 7 FORCED UPDATE is an abomination honestly can't see a single plus other than "battery life" or maybe make the NOW bar customizable because right now it's a safety hazard trying to tap the tiny icon on the bottom of the screen while wearing gloves is ***** difficult and they change everything and remove the customization for most or force you to have it their way. Sorry this has turned into a rant more than anything but this was forced onto me and I can't stand it I'm about to switch phones over this.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Broadly speaking once you've upgraded to the next OS it isn't possible to revert back.

Also to add some of the new features are done by Google on the Android operating system
Have you explored using Samsung Goodlock and it's various plugins to customise your phone to a way more to your liking

So what you're saying is that Google phones have the same UI 7 and I'd have to switch to apple to get away from this garbage when I switched to Samsung to get away from this same rubbish.

No, every android manufacturer makes their version of android appear a little different. A google pixel phone would look totally different to a samsung phone but have the same settings and sorta the same base features.

As glenntech said, you can use good locknto tweak how your phone looks to match what you want

One UI 7 is a kind of skin over Android
Google makes android software. Samsung just adds features and a slightly different look to the base android software system
So yes Samsung adds bits. But the core functionality is Android
So Pixel phones will have some of the very same features. Or should say that Samsung has the same features as the Pixels with added stuff on top
