One UI 7 Beta Available Now. Words of Advice

So the long anticipated One UI 7 Beta software has landed for the S24 Series phones. 

Currently it's only available for unlocked devices. 

So if you got your phone through EE, O2 etc

You won't be eligible to participate in the Beta program.

First thing is first.

BACK UP YOUR PHONE before joining. 

Second thing. Be aware that some apps like banking apps will probably not work. 

The software is Beta. So expect glitches and issues.

If its you main phone that you do everything on.

I'd recommend you do not join as going back to original software can create issues in itself.

How come the 24 series get the beta but not the fold 6?

All UK devices are unlocked - it's *illegal* to sell a locked phone in the UK. Do you actually mean running carrier software?

The Z Fold range has a slightly different software to the normal phones.
The more popular devices are slab type phones.
Typically the Newest Z Fold and Flip phones follow a little while after.

It's commonly termed locked.
But technically as they have carrier software, they are tied to the carrier in some ways still

So locked in the industry means you cannot use a sim from a rival carrier - this was outlawed three years.
