Why samsung u dont make your own map app

Hey there

This question was debated on here back in 2020 with quite a range of responses.

Predominantly the feedback back then was that Google Maps and Waze were / are so good that Samsung likely took the decision to invest funds elsewhere in their ecosystem.

The time and resources needed to do something like this would be huge.
You already have the might of Google Maps
Trying to compete with a well established maps system that's constantly needing updating.
It just won't be financially viable

I know Apple do have their own maps, but I don't find it still as good as the Google Maps

Take a look at apple maps then you will realise why. They started it in 2012 and as you know apple (tries) to beat everyone and apples maps although it works it's just rubbish. Google maps has been in the making forever and I would say in the last 5 years its been brilliant you can't beat. Samsung would just be wasting money and resources on this
