my email provider now requires a change in security settings from none to ssl. however i am unable to change this in my 3 devices using samsung email. the security type is 'none' in orange lettering but every time i tap on this absolutely nothing happens despite all my research suggesting that it should show alternatives. any ideas as we can't access our pop3 email on our phones?

When setting up an account after you put your email and password in you click on the account type. Samsung email then sets the settings for that account type automatically. It's setting it to your email providers previous settings. You will have to put your email address and password in the click setup manually. You'll need all your providers email settings though. You can then change the security settings. 1768906675721.jpg

i'm trying to change my existing account. when i go into server settings i am unable to change my email address or the security settings. the port numbers and incoming and outgoingservers i can change. if i deleted the existing account and then added it again, presumably i would lose all the mail on the old account which has been deleted from the server? thanks for your suggestion though....

I'd suggest trying a different email app to see if that works.
