Instagram App Issue After Uploading Content

Hi everyone,

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and I’ve been running into a few frustrating issues while using the Instagram app, especially as a content creator.

I run a wellness blog called Simply Zen Living, and most of my content is created on Canva and posted through Instagram. But lately, I’ve noticed:

• Reels lag or crash while editing
• Image quality drops when uploading carousels (even high-res ones)
• Story uploads sometimes freeze or take forever
• The app feels slow and unresponsive compared to other devices I’ve used

I’ve cleared cache, reinstalled the app, and my phone is running the latest One UI and Android version.

Is this a common issue with Instagram on Samsung devices?

Are there any recommended settings, app versions, or tips to improve performance and upload quality?

Would really appreciate any advice from fellow Samsung users, especially creators!

The Note 9 is 7 years old—this is likely to be the issue. As time goes on it will slowly become more and more out of date for your device. So no, this isn't a common issue with Samsung devices. Your device lost update support in 2022

My suggestion would be to try using the web version of Instagram and see if it works any better.
