How to get notifications on my phone when someone steals my SmartTag?

I have Samsung SmartThings app & a few SmartTags.

1. Some SmartTags are placed inside my storage lockers in different warehouses. I want to be notified if those SmartTags move away from that location (i.e. if someone steals my stuff from the warehouse)

2. Other SmartTags are placed inside my suitcases/backpacks. I want to be notified if those SmartTags move away from me (i.e. if someone steals my stuff from my car/bus/airport)

There's apparently an easy way to achieve this (maybe it wasn't available previously):

The only thing close to that is you can set an alert when your smart tag is no longer near you. So for your backpack, if you have it with you, then someone takes it or you walk off without it, you get a ping. For the storage one, I don't believe there is a way other than manually checking it

How do I do it though? I don't see any such option anywhere.

My understanding is that the connection between the smart tag and galaxy phones is through Bluetooth.
Thus, you can make up a routine that plays loudly a certain sound file (say alert) when a Bluetooth device (the tag) is disconnected (separated by diatance)

I still don't know how to do it 😞

When I create a new routine, under "If" the "Device status" is inactive and other options seem irrelevant to this.

Turn on your Bluetooth and connect the device, then create the routine

Bluetooth is on, the SmartTag is connected, the app shows where it is (right next to me)...

Now you can make a routine, if Bluetooth device ,pick up the tag, is disconnected, then, play music, pick up a music app. Or choose effect, beep once.

But like I said before: When I create a new routine, under "If" the "Device status" is inactive and other options seem irrelevant to this.

I don't understand the rest of your message (what music?). I want to get a notification on my phone in case the SmartTag stops being close to my phone.
