Green Line Appeared Suddenly After One UI 0.7 Update

Dear Samsung,

I am writing to report a display issue that started occurring after I updated my device to One UI 0.7. Around two weeks after the update, a green line suddenly appeared on my phone's screen. There was no physical damage or mishandling involved.

This issue seems to be directly related to the recent software update, as many users have also reported similar problems. It’s disappointing to face such a hardware-level issue caused by a software upgrade on a premium device.

I request Samsung to take responsibility for this and provide a free screen replacement or an appropriate resolution as soon as possible.

Device Model: A735G

Software Version: One UI 0.7

Issue Started: Two weeks after the update

Hi @A735G1, and welcome to the Samsung UK & Ireland Community. I'm sorry that your phone's display has suddenly developed a green line.

I’ve been using this mobile for the past 3 years without any issues. However, after updating to One UI 0.7, everything seemed fine until three weeks later—when I woke up one morning and suddenly noticed a green line on the screen.

Thanks for trying those steps. May I ask, are you located in India? If so, then I would recommend reaching out to the Samsung Support team in your region, as will be able to offer some additional assistance and, if necessary, arrange a repair.

but in this case, the green line appeared due to your software update—not any fault or damage from my side. Since it’s a known issue affecting many users after the One UI 0.7 update, I strongly request a free screen replacement as a responsible resolution from Samsung.

That would be a helpful question to answer.

But- youre asking in the wrong place for such a request....these forums are for customers to post for other customers... moderators can point you in the right direction but cannot provide such a request directly. Id suggest contacting samsung support directly via whatever channel is available in your region

When I visited your authorized service center, I was informed that the screen replacement would cost ₹10,000, even though the issue clearly appeared after a software update.

Your OneUI update generated so much heat that it damaged the display, yet we loyal customers are expected to foot the bill for your mistake! Samsung should start offering free display replacements for phones with green lines and no visible external damage in order to restore customer trust! - S23+ User
