Hi, just found out that Samsung have stopped letting 3rd party apps use 60fps on recording. Why is this and when will it be stopped! The 60fps on the Samsung camera app is not as good as other 3rd party apps I've been using. Thanks

IKR. It's really frustrating. The Samsung Video app can do 60fps 4K but has no available log profiles in the pro mode.

Are there any Samsung phones that support 60fps for 3rd party apps? I have tried with my Galaxy S23 Ultra and it is very disappointing that I cannot use it for streaming with 60fps, on any resolution.

Do phones of other brands support this?

I checked my S10 (SM-G973F) and at least in android.scaler.streamConfigurationMap there are entries with minFrameDuration of 16665880 ns , which would suggest support of 60 fps. My Galaxy S23 Ultra only supports 33333333 ns.

I checked with my S21 (SM-G991B), and it also has entries with 16665880 ns (i. e. 60 fps), including for 2400x1080, 1920x1440 and 1920x1080.

I would really like a software update for the S23 Ultra supporting 60 fps on the Android Camera2 API, making it possible to stream in 60 fps, preferably in 4K.

For now it appears that the S10 and S21 are better at this.
