Hello there,

there is a technology that camera sensors in phones since the Galaxy S23 Ultra apparently has, but it’s not activated by Samsung, a technology called Dual Control Gain, or Dual Gain Output. It is a technology where the sensor captures images in 2 different exposures and combines them together for higher dynamic range. The video quality improves in a major way.

Apparently, only Pixel 10 Pro has enabled this feature, and for other phones that the sensor has this technology, they need to be rooted to gain access to this. Well, no one wants to root their phone, so I kindly ask to enable this feature on all phones that has a sensor with this technology. (Specially the S24 Ultra Enterprise Edition :winking-face:

here is a video talking about it > https://youtu.be/YVj6JYXF14M

I honestly hope Samsung can do this to get some more quality out of their cameras.

Might be because it would not be compatible with the current camera software
But if you go into the support section and leave feedback there for development teams to see
This is a customer to customer based forum and Samsung doesn't monitor here
