Facebook notifications

I cannot for the life of me seem to get app notifications for Facebook. I've checked the Facebook settings and phone settings. I get the in app notifications but I never receive them on my phone external of the app. 

I've never managed to get them, so its not an update thing, but it's really starting to annoy me now.

I've recently got a Samsung a14, and I'm having the same issue. All notifications are switched on via phone settings and Facebook, but I still never recieve any!!
