Hey Everyone,
I have an issue that'd I call EXTREME.
The Photo Picker app is forcing me to have Google Photos enabled if I want to see other albums stored locally, like the Lightroom Export folder.
I don't want google's spyware, so I disabled the google photos app. But if I disable it, only Favorites, Camera, Downloads, Screenshots and Videos will appear. Nothing else, when I use the Photo Picker to upload a photo somewhere.. and I don't have any option to switch to file picker or the samsung gallery in some apps.
So if I want to have access to my own, locally stored pictures, I have to have installed and enabled Google Photos?! I don't need the pictures from cloud, they're stored locally!
it's so inconsistent! I switched from iPhone last week and this is the only issue I have, but quite a big one as I have to pick photos constantly..

Yes, always allow all for that specific app.
Still, the photo picker won't show the other albums unless I have Google Photos enabled
and there's many apps that have this issue, unfortunately 😞 i've read that google is pushing this photo picker now. but it's really not working and it's gatekeeping people to have google photos to be able to access their local pictures which is absurd.
