Hi @jojowill ,

Which device is it happening on? And which email app & provider did you use?

Cheers! Assuming your email's actually been sent and it's not stuck in something like draft form (I've done that before haha 😳😄 )

Try long-pressing the Email app icon, then press the small 'i' on the right-hand corner of what pops up > 'Storage > Clear cache'.

(You can get to that bit by 'Settings > Apps > Email > Storage > Clear cache' too.)

Use the same steps to clear the app data too if clearing the cache doesn't work in stopping that persistent notification.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello,

Any luck with solving this issue?

This is obviously still a problem, because I have been facing this for months now. I don't know if I should reinstall the email app, because I manage around 20 emails from it, and don't know if they will survive the reinstall, especially if I don't know for sure if it would fix it.

So far, it looks like no. This looks to be the only support thread I have found on this topic as well.

*Edit* I took it into my own hands to likely destroy all my emails accounts I have set up in the app and here's what I've learned:

For me, it was only one account that was causing this issue, and it was easily found by clicking though my different emails inboxes until there was one that has a "Sending email" footer banner at the bottom. This is the offending email account.

From there, the only thing I could do is delete the account and re-add it. YES, this does get rid of all your account-specific settings such as notification preferences and sync schedule, etc. but at least you don't have to reinstall the entire app.
