There’s a flaw in the new “excluded apps” feature in Digital Wellbeing. If a user adds an app to the “excluded apps” list after already applying a usage limit to it, the app becomes fully accessible without restriction, the timer is removed and the limit no longer applies, allowing unlimited usage. This unintentionally creates a loophole that renders app limits ineffective and breaks the intended purpose of usage control.
I currently use the app with a PIN so changing the timer of an app is not possible unless you know the PIN, in my opinion adding/removing apps from the excluded list should also be behind the PIN (just like the "app timers")
Steps to reproduce:
Set a daily timer limit for an app.
Use the app until it’s restricted.
Go into the new “excluded apps” setting and add the same app.
Result: The app is no longer blocked and can be used indefinitely; the timer disappears
