Chat features removed in latest version of Samsung messages?

Just read someone's post about chat features not working in Samsung messages. A moderator put this at the end of the reply. 

In regard to the chat features this has been removed on the latest versions of the Samsung Messages app. In order to use this you will need to use Google Messages.

Mine is still working at the moment. Not too happy about it if it's true. I prefer Samsung messages and use chat feature's.😔 Really hope it's false info. Anyone else heard they were doing away with chat in Samsung messages.

iv been using google messages for the last 4 week as the samsung chat wasnt working like it did on my s22 ultra and now my rich communications setting has disapeared now when i turned the samsung message app back on

but it did as ask me to register to use google messages on the samsung app but sods law no one has texted me today to see if its working also im on vodafone so not sure if thats why rich communications has gone i did have it last month

Looks like you may have to use Google messages. If rcs isn't working on samsung, until Vodafone roll out the update.

its weird as it was on the phone but samsung messages wasnt working so some people on here said just use google messages for a couple of weeks which i did then last night tried samsung messages again and the rich communications has gone out from  the settings

It is odd, as support on Vodafone has only just ended. Fingers crossed they get this update rolled out quickly for users.

Even weirder it is working on samsung messages again now just tried it again even tho there is no rcs setting anymore on the settings

i just tried again ....still no rcs on samsung messages.....as u ....but i am still not getting rcs blue colored or read message or dots indicating typing from others
