I'm having an issue with NFC payments using Google Wallet: when I open Wallet, the phone says that NFC is not turned on. However, NFC is actually on (I've checked multiple times), and I even have a routine set up for it. Despite this, I still can't make payments.

phone is a Galaxy S22+ running Android 15, everything is up to date.

Any idea who could help?

You seem to be auto enabling nfc when opening the app, then disabling it when you close the app. Maybe don't do that? Keep nfc on the whole time.

Also guessing you have tried pressing the turn on button within google pay. I might as well say the obvious just in case

Hello, Your advice helped: I deleted the routine, and for now Google Wallet is working fine.
Thanks!
