I can search for and find Samsung Notes in the Windows 11 store, but there is not install button.

The only way I could install it was to go to the web version of the store and

Get Samsung Notes - Microsoft Store en-GB

Click on the ellipsis [...] and choose "install on my devices".

Just type winget install "Samsung Notes" in the command line -with the quotation marks- and it will be installed in a minute. Once the installation is over simply do a search for Samsung then it will be among the results.

Edit: When it asks you to accept terms and conditions type Y if you do

This is how i installed the app on my windows 11 laptop https://www.lifewire.com/access-samsung-notes-on-pc-6385837

1.Using the Windows search bar, search for CMD and select the corresponding result.

2.In the Command Prompt window, type:

winget install "Samsung Notes"

Then press the Enter key.

note:the above command does include the quotation marks.

3.When prompted, agree to the terms and conditions for the application. Then wait for it to install

4.When Samsung Notes is installed, a small pop-up notification will let you know. Select it to open the app.

5.Once Samsung Notes is open on your PC, sign in to your account to access any previously saved notes, or Skip to start afresh.

There is a much easier and safer way to do this that still goes through the Microsoft Store (in a way).

  • Go to Command Prompt
  • Type: winget install "Samsung Notes"
  • Agree to all the things it asks

By the way, "Samsung Notes" does need to be in quotation marks

so this worked but the notes app is outdated and the MS store won't let me update it. My phone has the newer version of the app which does not sync properly and makes me convert all the notes into the new format which then can't be opened from the PC app anymore.

any solutions?
