Alert the user to turn on the power switch after plugging in the charger.

Please add a feature that detects when the phone is plugged into a charger but not receiving power (e.g., switch is off) and alerts the user with a notification or sound reminder.

Many people forget to turn on the power switch after plugging in their charger, and a reminder feature could be really useful.

From an engineering perspective I don't see how this could be done.

The connector only identifies being connected when there is power being output... if the plug is effectively 'dead' then it is not possible to know it is connected.

There is no 'mechanical sensor' built into a USB C connector. So by pure engineering theory and science ... this is not possible.

This isn't technically possible—as this would need some type of input, i.e., altering the USB-C port with a physical switch…which would break.

The built-in indicator is the lack of charging/ ping. 😉
