Network Storage in My Files app

I recently bought an S24 Ultra and the My Files app doesn't show me access to my network storage when I remove the Galaxy Store through the ADB. When I reinstalled it, added a shortcut to the network drive and then removed the Galaxy Store again it still wouldn't show the category of Network Storage but I could still access it through the shortcut I made. So it retains that functionality but won't let you access it easily without having their useless store installed. Is it just out of pettiness then?

Hello,

Why would you remove the Galaxy Store ? Many apps take updates from there. Probably you removed a service too many. A factory reset can undo mistakes made in ADB.

The "why" is irrelevant. My complaint is that there seems to be an artificial obstruction in place.

I dont think there is, what else did you remove with ADB? What you describe happens when you remove a service thats essential to other processes. Removing the Galaxy Store on Samsung is a bad idea in general. There are other ways of obtaining your goals. Thats why I asked why, its relevant, I also use ADB to remove bloatware to extend battery life.

I removed a bunch of stuff; telemetry, bloatware, customisation services. The Network Storage option only vanishes when the Galaxy Store, and only the Galaxy store, is removed and reappears when the Galaxy Store, and only the Galaxy store, is reinstalled. As stated before it's still fully functional with it removed through a shortcut made prior to removing the Galaxy Store.

Thank you for your message. Via the Samsung Members-app you can also send in an error report to my colleagues of the R&D department. They can investigate this and when this can be resolved by an update or give you an explanation.
