Hey !
I bought a Samsung S3 to use as a sportwatch.
Unfortunately the heartbeattracker at the wrist does'nt work.
It always indicates 160bpm does'nt matter how hard I run. If I compare my bpm with my polar wristwatch it does'nt match at all.
So if you are thinking of buying a samsung S3 gear as sportswatch ? Don't !
Also you can not install a good sportstracker app.
In my opion the S-health app is not sufficient. For instance you can't get can't get an overview of the trainings you did per week or month.
I hope Samsung is doing their best to update / upgrade their apps because right now I don't think buying an expensive S3 Gear is a good investment. Also they should invest in the heartbeattracker.

Hi there!
I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied about the heart rate sensor in the Gear S3. I have personally tested the sensor of the Gear S2 and Gear Sport with hospital equipment, and they matched. I didn't have an opportunity to test the Gear S3, but given the previous and next generation score the same, I doubt the S3 will score differently.
Please make sure you are wearing your Gear appropriately on your wrist and both your wrist and the heart rate sensor is clean. For a good measurement, make sure your wrist and hand isn't too cold or warm.
Also, to get a week or month overview, you can use the Samsung Health app on your phone.

The sensor Works realy well when you are at rest. But once you start moving it just takes your running cadance as your heart rate...
