Problems with wifi Smart Things connection to Tumbledrier

Have purchased a Heat Pump tumble drier DV80T5220TW and starting to regret it as I just cannot get it to connect to the Smart Things app.
I have a Samsung TV and connected that with no difficulty. Being pretty tech savvy I am really frustrated!

My iphone recognises the drier and I can get through to 98% of the setup -where it says it is doing the final registration of the drier on the Samsung app but it will not complete and times out citing failure......try again.

I tried contacting Samsung via phone and chat and they were utterly clueless.........

can anyone help?

Not the most helpful community this - nor is Samsung particularly helpful as I discovered as their phone and chat support was absolutely useless and clueless.

I solved the issue of the drier getting To 98% of the connection and then failing. 
Samsung have made the app so flakey that it won’t accept anything other than a very simple password with letters and numbers. 
I created a guest network on my router for the drier (2.4ghz) and switched my phone to Airplane mode and connected to the Smartthings app -the drier set

up happened quite seamlessly after that.   Why the setup has to be so rubbish, only

Samsung knows.   I will keep the network in place for the drier only so as not to compromise my other devices which all have secure complex passwords for wifi. So the drier works well so far but the setup was no thanks to Samsungs useless instructions or help or this disinterested community.
