Grill with door open override

Hi.  I often cook dishes that only need top heat from the grill but if I cook with the door closed it a) dries out the food and b) switches off the grill when it gets to a certain oven temperature.  I of course don’t want this.  Does anybody know how to override?

Do any Samsung representatives have any advice to share?

If anybody is reading this - I wouldn’t recommend buying a Samsung oven if you want to use a grill.  Check with any of the brands you are considering to check that the grill works with the door open, otherwise the grill is useless - it turns off when the door is shut and a certain temperature is reached.  It’s hard to simply toast a slice of bread!

I use a small fridge magnet to trick the oven to think the door is closed

Sounds like a great suggestion- thank you, I shall try it.  Where do you place the magnet?  (Position)?

Apologies for the delay in reply.  I tested it tonight and it works perfectly.  It’s obviously a light sensor that you cover and fool the oven into thinking it is closed.  Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I’m really pleased!

I'm having the same issue, so when you grill with the door open does it stop the toast from drying out, and toaster quicker than 11mins - which is what it takes me currently 😮 Thank you
