After a few days living with my new Watch 5 Pro I reckoned it was all set up and ready for a proper workout.
I have set my max heart rate to 176 (208 - 0.7xage) and off I went...
After a particularly tough section I was starting to worry a bit about my heart rate. Checked my watch and my heart rate was 190!!
In fact, I was over my 176 max for more than 15 minutes.
Not once did the watch warn me (audio or vibration). How is this possible for this kind of tech not to do that? Samsung, this is dangerous!
Looking forward to a Samsung rep reply on why this crucial function is not included in your "Pro" model.
Regards

Hi Obsydian
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately that setting doesn't work. I checked.
It only functions after the watch is at rest for 10 minutes. It DOES NOT function during the workout when you need it most.

Thanks Voayager
I guess you're right: almost the single most important function of a fitness device (with heart rate tracking) is to warm the user when they are overdoing it! And every other device out there has this function.
What makes it worse is that the Watch 5 Pro does actually monitor my heart rate during workout (it's right there on the screen!), but it simply doesn't warn me when it gets too high. Quite unbelievable...
