I game on my S9 tablet and worry about thermal throttling/long term gpu ans cpu damage and wish to prevent it. I play fortnite mobile on 90 fps and the battery gets to 23*C which is within the safe range however using a device to monitor the cpu's and gpu's further sometimes they reach near 45*C and I was wondering if that's safe or not. Please could someone go more in depth on how to care for performance in the long term and whether the 45*C cpu temps are OK or not. Thank you

45C is the usual limits for the SD Gen 2 SoC. That's perfectly fine and should be ok operating at such for the long term.

System on a Chip, just a way of saying the CPU and the underlying subsystems.

It's called device info:phone cpu, system , should I be using something different to track temps?

No it's fine. I wouldn't be too concerned unless you notice severe heat emanating from the tablet alongside a lot of throttling and stuttering in gaming.
