Friend of mine in Spain managed to get a hold of the 1007 firmware for his Neo G8 from the Spanish customer services when he asked them about firmware updates, He installed it but annoyingly forgot to also share it with me.
Is there any chance a rep could link it please ? The only sites with any updates seem to be the Samsung Asia support site and even that has the older 1006 version.

I have this screen for over a month now and I got a split screen 3 times so far where one side is scrambled and the other looks different from the other. Turning the screen off and on again fixes it but seemingly I am not the only one with this issue. Will the latest firmware fix this, if so please share it.

Honestly Samsung customer support are useless. The reps I spoke to seemed to know nearly nothing about anything.
I was told by 3 different customer support staff that no firmware update has ever been created for the Neo G8... yet on the Korean site there is a firmware update, 1006, Samsung simply didn't make it available to any other region. The firmware is not region locked and apparently helps with some minor things.
When I pointed this out to customer support they went quiet, I asked about the aforementioned 1007 firmware and again total silence.
I don't know who Samsung hires but their knowledge base is non existent.
I eventually got a hold of the 1007 firmware, No thanks to Samsung, And it helps with power usage, Lowers the monitors temps likely due to voltage tweaking and the monitor also starts up much faster now.

Got it from a friend who got it from the Spanish customer support more precisely after talking to what seemed like an engineer at Samsung.
Why it was never made public is a mystery but it seems like normal Samsung behavior to offer the least amount of support possible.

Yo is it worth upgrading to this from 1003? I have had no problems with 1003 so far.
