Huge lag on Samsung S95B and Soundbar when passing through XBOX Dolby Atmos audio

Bought a brand new S95 65inch TV with the S801B soundbar.  There's a whole 1 second or more lag when passing through Dolby Atmos on XBOX Series X to the Samsung equipment.  Soundbar is using wifi.  Tested it without soundbar and its still laggy.  How to fix?

Have you tried rebooting everything your xbox s95b and soundboard and if it still doesn't work do it again with ur Internet rooter

Yes I have still no joy. I have tried Xbox audio setting set to pass through Dolby atmos/Dolby digital/ stereo uncompressed. At is is worst lag and stereo is the least lag but lag nevertheless. I bought the S95 with the Samsung 801 Soundbar which is 3.1.2 atmos capable. They are hooked up via Wi-Fi and Q Symphony enabled. I want to fully enjoy the games but lag is a pain! I may try connecting with a hdmi to mini hdmi capable between tv and Soundbar using earc port - new to this so not sure what I’m doing

Don't use the dolby atmos with ur xbox this can cause lags like yours

I did some research just try again

Given up using atmos for gaming.  Dolby Digital with passthrough enabled on Xbox, the sound goes to tv via hdmi then over to soundbar via wifi.  Now I have maybe 0.5s lag - compromised to this.

Hi there,

I had the same issue but figured out how to fix it. All you need to do is disable game mode on the tv and the audio lag will disappear on the series x. Game mode is the culprit unfortunately. Once you disable game mode you can use 5.1 uncompressed which honestly sounds fantastic and not much of a difference than atmos. I only use atmos for movies.
