I have also been investigating similar, as I am still considering an upgrade myself to the fold6.
i believe the factory fitted inner screen protector is supposed to be left on, and protects the inner flexible glass screen. It can still be susceptible to marks and damage without the protector on. My understanding is that a first replacement of the screen protector is covered by warranty, assuming that it hasn'tr been damaged due to bad care or negligence of the device, or due to a drop.
However the Fold 6 has also currently offered a free 1 year accidental warranty with Samsung Care +. I would check the terms of this insurance but I believe you should be covered for damage as well for 1 year. So hopefully all bases are covered. For me this would be a must have for piece of mind.
The phone itself has 24 month limited manufacturer warranty by standard but this is only on workmanship issues.

But Samsung do still offer a replacement I believe, so might as well kept the original on as long as possible, get it replaced, and then look to take it off once out of warranty
