To gain maximum  benefit from the Z Fold 6, a few accessories will enhance your experience.  Whilst  some Members may be attracted to using it naked (that is the device :smiling-face:  )  and even though this version  is more durable best to increase protection with a case .   If you do not want to obtrude too much you could try a clear one.  The next one is maybe a  bit of a case of do as I say not as I do!  Due to the form factor Folds are more exposed to wear and Tear  and so you should strongly consider a screen protector, I did not use one as was only going to have Device for a short time and had to be more careful. More likely to encounter scratches in any case.  Options from Samsung but I think the Spigen Glass screen protector offers good value and a number have recommended them, other options from the likes of Pikita.  Some reviews here https://www.bestproductsreviews.co.uk/samsung-fold-tempered-glass/

I think it would be advantageous to purchase Samsung’s  25 watt power Bank in case of emergencies/cases where you will using a lot of Power.   Some may carry a spare device with them but do not want to be left high and dry  (even if on occasions a digital detox may not be a bad thing) obviously with  the appeal of the 7.6 inch screen productivity and entertainment come into its own  (which I have covered in other reports).

Whilst some may manage  fine without it best to unleash the Power of the S Pen (though it is not provided with the Device) particularly if you do a lot of writing, drawing.  Whether it doodles or art enhanced by AI  it is just a smoother experience and faster due to low latency. (have detailed the AI in other article). Seamless with a number of Air commands and easier with Translation too. Comes into its own with Smart select too ,whereby you can capture screen content , extract text and  quickly share it with colleagues/friends for instance.

Just a few ideas, not compulsory :smiling-face:   However if you  can justify paying  such a premium price want to make the most of it.

Hi @JAMES4578  👋

Personally for me I use a case primarily because of how slippery phone's can be.

I also now use the Spigen Ez Fit Glass Screen Protector, and the Spigen Ez Fit Camera Lens Protectors too.

I also use a Magsafe Case because I like to use accessories such as Magsafe Anker powerbanks, Mous stand, and Magsafe Spigen Stand chargers.

As phone's can be quite expensive nowadays I agree it makes sense to protect them.

I had a case for the one I had. With my luck with phones it's kind of mandatory.
Screen Protector is just got the Samsung Official one. Just adds that layer of protection.
The S Pen i used the one from my Z Fold 5. As they are compatible.
But definitely some salient words of advice 👍🏻

The fold 6 in its bare form is a marvel to look at in its design. I spent a few trips to retail stores to look at it and then had a fold6 for a few days to properly try it out in my home.

I am generally someone to use a case cover with my phones for protection (s23u currently), but if there was ever a phone design so good to use it without a case the fold 6 is it !

The problem I have is that there are very few cases that appeal, I prefer the minimal look, perhaps I would have gone for a clear samsung genuine case.

The other issue i had was with the s-pen. If it had a silo to locate it then it would have been a massive selling point. If you remember something like the Nintendo DS handheld game console would have been perfect. The problem with the S pen case was its bulk in mass and size, turned into a larger and heavier lump. Sometimes you can have the best looking phone underneath, but by adding all these layers of protection it turns a beautiful phone into somewhat of a eyesore (for want of a better word 😉).

If the fold 6 had an s pen location then I would have likely paid for accidental insurance for 2 years and given it a go without any cases. It truly is a beautiful phone.

Now if the next evolution of the 'fold 7' had an antiglare inner and outer screen and an s-pen location then this really would be hurting my future bank balance... I am not sure i could resist !

Yes good points, I was using a clear case. Whilst did not want to detract too much from its beauty did not want to take the risk(particularly on a Test Device) The lack of a S pen slot is one of the few negatives.

Yes can be slippery, dropped another Device a few times but no damage with a case. Heard a few talking about the Magsafe Power Banks but not tried them myself.

I have a tendancy when I walk through the door of taking my case off my s23u. It feels nice in hand without the silicon layer and how the device was intended. Obviously the risks are lower also in carpet areas and within the house. In fact when you look and hold the last 2 or 3 generations of ultra series... they are all a very impressive design feat.

Like everyone else, the risk with a £1000+ phone is too great to leave the house without some protection... at least the ultra cases can be just a thin layer.

But to add... I do also have an existing Samsung care+ insurance. I pay £5.99 a month direct with assurrant. It is well worth the cost of a pint of beer a month for the reassurance. 👍

Was annoyed the ZFOLD6 came without and SPEN, somehow I acquired two with my ZFOLD4.

I like the Samsung Kickstand and Grip case, but adds too much bulk, I rocked my ZFOLD4 commando.

Pitaka I like but oddly it comes with no outer screen cover ???
Do like the magsafe case idea.

ZFOLD6 is way to slippery commando, maybe a skin but that offer zero protection.

Why make products that just don't last a minor drop, may as well design a JCB type phone 😂
