@DocJeff hey man the same thing is happening to me, my z flip 3 started having ghost touches 3 weeks after warranty expired, making it unusable, what a surprise. I got a samsung rep to agree to make an exception and extend warranty now it looks like they are saying my warranty is voided (phone is in pristine condition nearly) can you tell me what your legal letter included or how to write one similar to get this handled? I'd greatly appreciate it
I am never buying another thing from this phony company! A thread on androidpolice was just written a week or two ago, same time when I started having problems, about how the Z Fold/Flips are breaking right outside warranty timeline. What a scam!!!!

I bought my z flip 3 12 months ago. I had the screen protector replaced once already and now it is coming away again. Samsung are refusing to replace it even though as everyone on this thread has already said, this is clearly a design flaw.
It isn't like most phones where a screen protector is optional, here it is mandatory and trying to remove or replace it yourself can damage it. They are essentially charging me for having the basic use of my phone.
I'll be warning off anyone thinking of getting this phone, what a waste of money, especially considering we were early adopters of the technology.
As stated above and by others this is a total scam and should be avoided like the plague.

It is truly a shame, a disgrace, that a company the size of Samsung would ever be so arrogant as to simply egnore all of the multitudes of sincere outcries from the hands that feeds them.
I have been watching and waiting patiently over the years to see if or when they ever stepped up to the plate and made some sort of amends.
Nothing..... not one thing.
So, I guess I will do it for them.
I've been relentlessly scowering the internet for a plausible solution to this issue for over a year now.
.... and I believe I have finally found one.
I have found a relatively safe and effective means to remove the old defective screen protector and a replacement that appears to be better than the original.
It feels and reacts exactly the same as the OEM, with one added benefit. It actually appears to be less prone to finger printing.
As of today, it's only been installed on mine for a few weeks, and It's doing just fine, but only time will tell.
If you are interested contact me. I'll help you out.

Same happened to me at 9 months. No warranty repair. $500. Now 15 months later, it is starting again. Insured, but $300 deductible for this model. No folding phone ever again for me.
