I updated my z fold 4 yesterday to ui 6.1.1 and now my phone has no data, ive tried everything, reset the phone fully (factory reset) typed in new APN settings, cant even search manually for a service provider it just says error, sim works in other phone, the update has ruined my phone, im booked in for a repair, if they want to charge me I will probably just bin this s#it phone and go back to my old one, remember when samsung used to be good

Hello @Ellexus96 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
Does this issue happen in one particular place or everywhere ? I'm thinking a network mast issue in a particular area and or network congestion.
I see You have performed some excellent troubleshooting steps including the last resort of backing up 👌
There is an option in Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connections that you can try.
There is also a diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App too.
Do look in your Connections Settings under the Mobile Data Usage section, just to check that no data usage limits have been set. My apologies if you have looked there already.
Could you also try your sim card in the secondary sim slot as a process of elimination.
Asking a Samsung Service Centre to assess the phone is a good choice too as they'll check no hardware has caused this.
I did see some previous threads on the Samsung Community Forum from users advising they had experienced some issues after updating.
If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.
Samsung would typically levy a fee if the phone was out of the Manufacturer's Warranty, or if the phone had accidental damage to the phone to bring the phone back up to warranty standards.
Take time and date stamped photo's of the phone to show it's aesthetic condition, and one of the phone booted up, and one of the water indicator which is typically visible in the sim card tray slot.
Do let us know how you get on please.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Did you ever get this issue fixed? I'm having this exact same problem now. Absoulute shambles. sent the device back to Samsung who did their diagnostics and state "
Due to this, we feel that the device is working to full specification, and everything is working as it should be following the inspection our engineer has confirmed that the device was working as it should and no manufacturing faults have been identified". Absolute shambles.

buy a new phone they won't admit its a firmware thing, if they do they are admitting they are at fault, i had sent three separate messages in the members app just to get the default solutions of check sim card check this and that, despite i did nothing new on the phone, their excuse is they can't check anything please send in "diagnostic report" which it automatically does after you send in the message, their excuse is let it run don't exit, which i never did
3rd time they just change tactics and say 'whelp according to the reports it might be a physical defect, we can't know for sure so bring it in" which is another way of saying, screw you, because it will end up like the person above "nothing occurs" or make me pay for unnecessary fixing
I tried reversing the firmware myself but i read theres this thing called "BINARY" and you can only reverse firmware up to that binary point i can't go back any further (which is dumb)
I put my sim card in my old phone and it works fine, so this is a phone thing, and i did nothing to the fold, so its damaged (i did nothing or installed anything new) OR its the ***** firmaware they released and won't allow us to revert it back to a working state
MY SAMSUNG EXPERIENCE: my note 4 i spent and arm and a leg, buying multiple batteries and a housing that charges batteries, I needed more then one as the battery is always dying, note 8 got burn in, had it fixed, i dropped it (wasn't that hard) got a black spot (which years later got bigger) my note 20 ultra got green lines (maybe from a firmware update heating up my ***** battery damaging my screen) and now this
i wanted to get a chinese phone xiaomi fold but they cost as much as a samsung, i got the fold 4 due to it being cheap refurbished off ebay, i REGRET IT NOW!! i should've just got the new xiaomi phone
