Latest Samsung update- ZFlip4 no app icons in lock screen anymore

Well, I've learned to adapt to this questionable UI update. However, I absolutely HATE the fact that I can no longer see any messaging icons in the lock screen. I used to be able to look at the top my lock screen and see if there was an email icon, app notification icon, or text message icon and know what was waiting on my to check. NOW all I can get is stupid white dot at the top that means I have "something" waiting for me. That means I have to open my phone every time to see what it is. So annoying. Samsung, can you please fix this!

Go to Settings > Notifications > Lock Screen Notifications and from there you can change it from dots to icons to full blown Notifications on the lock screen.

I tried replying from my email, but I don't see it here. In that 3rd image you provided, I see nothing under the toggle function. All I have is a black screen. I looked there prior to opening a comment on this thread. Been a Samsung user for over a decade and this issue is really frustrating.
