Issue with a Software Update Samsung Flip 4 (April 2024)

Be careful with an April update.

Right after this update (not after a few hours, days or weeks) my Flip 4 stopped working in a proper way. Every time I fold or unfold my phone it's totally shutting down. Folding feature still works only when my phone is connected to the charger.

So, now I have 2 options: to use my phone only in an unfolded state or to carry a power bank always connected to my phone.

Since there is obviously a problem with the software, the only option I can think of is to reset all settings or, ultimately, to completely reset the smartphone to factory settings. Both are possible via Settings > General Management > Reset

Unfortunately no 😞 I'm still using portable powerbank and waiting for the May's update...

Interesting 🤔 Do you use SM-F721B? It looks like, the latest update is from April (https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-F721B/XSG/doc.html)

Maybe it was just the UI 6.1 update then? Security patch is still April 1st. Yeah got the Flip-4

I have just got my phone back from 3 days being repaired and it seems to be ok now! I am only 3 hours in so we will see! 

I am however, on the March security patch so maybe thats it!? Might not update....
