Galaxy fold 4 internal screen issue after OneUI 6.1.1 update

Oh wow, where do I even start? So, after the amazing recent OneUI 6.1.1 "patch" (not update, mind you) that I got on my Fold 4, my internal screen decided it had had enough of me and went completely black. I mean, why would I want to use a screen on a phone that’s worth an arm and a leg, right? That’s just greedy. Sure, the screen is active—there’s a black void to prove it—but apparently, I’m just not worthy of seeing what's on it.

But wait, it gets better! When I switch to the small outer screen (you know, the one that’s meant to be a backup in case you wanted to pretend you own a normal phone), I’m greeted by a lovely message saying "OneUI has crashed." Oh, joy! Nothing like paying a premium price for a phone that’s decided to take a permanent nap after a patch.

So naturally, I trot off to the Samsung service center, hoping for some magic. The response? "Oh, you weren’t even supposed to get that update here. What you got were just some patches, not an actual update." Well, isn’t that comforting? Not only did I apparently get an update that wasn’t supposed to exist, but now even they can’t upgrade or downgrade the phone. It’s just stuck in some glitchy limbo, like a cosmic joke on me for thinking I could rely on this top-tier device.

Thanks, Samsung, for the wonderful experience. Really living up to the premium in premium phones. Can’t wait to see what else breaks! Maybe next time my phone will just start levitating instead of working. ✌️

There are work arounds to making it work, but it works sometimes and sometimes not

I am experiencing same issue with update. Is there any fix I can use because phone is no more under warranty. Samsung sucks because I have already changed phone once because of internal screen broken while opening and now this. Never gonna buy Samsung again

Could someone chat to me about this, I'm having the same problem black screen after a OneUI update, and just out of warranty and got a quote for a repair £514 for something that was I believe caused by Samsung's update

I've had it with Samsung. This is a software issue and all they want to do is replace my screen for 600 bucks plus original 100 dollars for looking at it. I'll find another phone.  Not Samsung. UPSET

Great, at least now I know I'm not the only one, I can still use the inner screen if I close the phone and then only half open it, if I open it fully it turns into a pink wall of glitch then goes black but you can still feel the haptic feedback of the home button being pressed

Same problem after factory resetting and update to "make my phone fast as new" 21.03.25. the software horror came. Works fine closed when opened sometimes stops working right away but sometimes and I can do this repeatedly open dahua dmss app put cameras on horizontal view and then open the inner display the phone works fine just until something makes a sound even if you tougle the sound icon in the falling menu from sound to vibration to silent and sound again the phone aways stops working if you promp it with a sound. Very interesting how sound is obviously linked to this massive bug(I am no expert). And to add that usually after closing the phone's inner display after stopped working to a black screen, we can wait or soft restart(hold down vol and lock button 30 sec) if we wait and the phone starts by itself that sound is gone from any app or function (or few times it was cracking as if speakers are broken) until we restart it and the sound is back to normal. Does that align with your experience?
