A recent trip highlighted once again how you can have a minimalist functional setup them fits into your trouser and jacket pockets.

My ZFold6 (kickstand case), Buds2 Pro and 20,000 Samsung Battery pack, to watch kingdom of the planet of the apes in HDR and Dolby Atmos 😎

Pre foldables I would carry an S20 for music, and a Tab S8 Ultra for entertainment, so basically a backpack.

Whilst making a toilet visit on the joining the queue it was hillarious observing small slab mobile, precariously propped up and straining eyes.

It's one of the reasons I struggle to swap back to slabs, I even have a mini Samsung Trio keyboard coupled with DeX a mini mobile on the go office.

I am still feeling a little anxious about foldables and their reliability... but I have never been so close as to buy the fold 6. I nearly pulled the trigger on preorders... and I am waiting the next best deal.

The latest projector deal doesn't do it for me... but maybe soon enough I will be tempted again.

Folds 5 and 6 appear more robust, reliable and attractive than the earlier four models that preceded them.

@Obsidian, how would you convince me to make the switch from my S23U to a fold 6 ?

In terms of aspect ratio watching movies on the large screen... is it really that much bigger with the aspect ratio and unused screen with large top and bottom black bands than say a 6.8" ultra ?

What would you say were your own top 5 improvements from foldables compared to ultra ?

That's fantastic that your current set up meets your wants and needs @Obsydian

As you know I use the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra which is ample viewing screen for me.

With that I use a Spigen ZeroOne Edition Magsafe Case ,that I can attach a Mous Stand that Folds flat to the phone when not in use. This allows the phone to sit in Landscape and Portrait mode.

I also carry an Anker 5000mah Battery pack which is ample enough to top up the phone. This is also magsafe, so no wires dangling everywhere.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I like your Magsafe method, as this time my ZFold4 kept sliding, so I used the Mrs tablet case as a place mat 🫣

Agree watching movies the ZFOLD4 adopts a letter box format so no gain over a Slab phone, but games, books, multi tasking it is tablet like.

It always reminds me of my iPad Mini, perfect size, but foldable.

Sorry, buddy, busy day @smiley top 5 for you.

1. Screen size (gaming, video calls, media editing)
2. Folded size is easier for pockets
3. There is no need for a tablet and even a personal laptop
4. Split screen like two phones side by side
5. Note taking

I agree with the robustness as my GEN 3 and 4 both had screen protector replacements at 9 mths and hinge related failures just after a year.

I am resisting going back to a Slab, the S24U, Jan Unpacked hands on had me hooked, but way to big to carry in pockets or shorts and then I will need a tablet again.

So at the moment my perfect scenario might be an S24U, but the ZFOLD4 for home use only, and also a anchor if the slab doesn't work for me 🤣
