Downloads directing me to dropbox

I downloaded dropbox to swap my photos over from apple to samsung. 
Using the cable only transfered over 2000 of the 10,000 photos I had for some reason. 

Since installing dropbox, any browser I use (Google, edge, Opera) even if I download a brand new browser, when I click download, the phone automatically takes me to www.dropbox.com
I was using this website (svartling.net) to download watch faces and using the standard samsung downloaded option, it worked perfectly and asked me to select which app to use to download the file. I no longer get this option, as it only directs me to dropbox and the downloads no longer open. 

Samsung tech have reset a lot of my settings and nothing has changed. 
Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Hi @RusB, this is a curious one, and if a tech has already looked into this and not managed to sort it,  I'd recommend sending us an Error report.   

By sending us an Error report, our software engineers will be able to receive data logs relating to the problem you are experiencing. This data is anonymised and only held for the duration of the investigation of the report.

Hi,
I spoke with tech support and they remote controlled my phone looking for the issue. I reset every setting pretty much and it still didn't fix the issue. They even said I'd be able to send the phone back for a replacement as they weren't able to fix the problem. That's the last case scenario for me, having to start again after only having the phone 2 weeks would be a right pain.
I'll look at sending a report over

I see, that does sound really peculiar. I'd say an Error report is the best step to take for sure, because after that I imagine it'd be a full factory reset, so if we can avoid that then all the better. Our software engineers will hopefully be able to get to the root of this for you.
