Accessing "My Files" from my desktop

I've a Galaxy Z Flip and I occasionally try to transfer files to it from a USB stick (which seems unbelievably difficult BTW...)  Mostly I'll try to transfer them to a relevant folder - such as Pictures or Documents or wherever. But they almost always seem to end up in somewhere called My Files.

So is there some way to put a link to My Files on my phone's desktop?

By Desktop, you mean your phone Home Screen? You can press and hold My Files app and select Add to Home.

My Files is just a container (similar to the Gallery app) and the Files and media are stored in respective folders like Documents, Downloads, Photos, etc.

My Files collects everything on your device, doc's, picture's, video, audio files, downloads and installation files.

Thanks keith30 - so does that mean it can't be viewed from the desktop? I'm assuming My Files is probably a folder somewhere?

That worked Neo001 - thanks. Something just occurred to me... do the various containers have inbuilt filters? Earlier today I tried adding a PDF file to my Images folder but it wouldn't show up there - but when I added it to Documents I could see it. 😕

The filters are at the app level, for example, the Gallery app will only show images/screenshots/videos/GIFs, etc.

PDF will be visible via the My Files app or Acrobat Reader app (for example).
