I'd seen this while back. I think part of her struggles came from the fact that not all apps optimise for alternative accessibility input methods (which she notes). That's not a fault of the phone she's using though, just one that will improve now with desktop mode being an option of Andriod 16 for OEM's to choose how they implement and developers to embrace. It will just take quite a while I'd imagine (As long as Google doesn't shelve it)
With ChromeOS moving to Android though I hope things will improve regarding desktop modes to trickle back to DEX.
She has the exact mobile desires I want too, a small portable PC to edit footage in your pocket (Just no skipping on the cameras). I really want Samsung to embrace pro video like their AVP and new sensor plans a few years ago but I'm somewhat in limbo knowing that creative work isn't their mass audience and if they can make more profit/sales by dropping that priority they will.
I understand the durability fears but these foldables are always somewhat harshly judged on the failings of their previous models (Screen failures are big failures though). If the Fold 7 does ok in a couple of years with the improvements this time it's the Fold 9 that's really going to reap the rewards of trust.
I'm a example of this. It was my siblings S23U being so good that helped encourage me switch to a S24U (Also seeing the anti reflective coating in person, So underrated)
