Galaxy S9 SeriesI am reading the July security patch has some fixes to AR Emoji. The fact that Samsung is treading anywhere near the native camera app is giving me some hope they might silently provide a fix for this without admitting to the issues in the first place.. If they are exerting their effort into a bunch of cartoon characters but not something as fundamental as the ability to reliably write to micro sd, then it shows their priorities are completely and utterly screwed. I actually don't know how this inherent fault hasn't been reported by the media yet. It has the potential to be as large as the Note 7 disaster if people are having cards corrupte, with important items or memories they can't recover. Anyone from Samsung care to respond to this for a change?!

Galaxy S9 SeriesSame issue here sandisk micro sd 128 gb.
Apps that are moved to the sd card are eventually removed.
Sometimes, camera stops saving pictures. an exclamation sign icon appears instead of the picture icon.
very frustating !

Galaxy S9 SeriesI have the same issue, converting from an S8+ with a 128 GB Sandisk Ultra card. I have also tried to backup my data with a computer, but it won't do a clean backup. It starts to copy the files, then it all frees, and it won't respond. I have to unplug the SD-card reader and reinsert it again. I've tried to use a recovery software, and this also stops in the middle of the process of checking the SD-card. I can see all my files but can't get a copy of them out of the card. Please help!

Galaxy S9 SeriesI recently tried to back up my files from the SD to my computer and it stops after only copying a few files.
I can't see my pictures in a computer but can see them on my phone. Basically, I don't have a way of getting my files off my SD card. Can't even upload them to the cloud, it fails.

Galaxy S9 SeriesFor months I had problems with my SD card, a 128 GB SanDisk Ultra PLUS. My phone would say that it card had errors. I would put it into my computer and it said it was fine. I would put it back into my phone and it would work for a day or two then show errors. Finally it became so corrupt that the phone would say that there was not a SD card installed. I put it into my computer and it would stop communicating or the equivalent of what some has said freezing up. I put the card into my computer and ran a chkdsk/r/f command. It got the SD card to where I could copy the files to my computer. I then copied the files to a 64 GB card and installed that card to my phone. It has been working without any errors for 5 days. Here is a link that will explain how to run chkdsk. It take a while to run! Don't stop it until it finishes.

Galaxy S9 SeriesI've now downgraded to a 64gb card with NO issues at all, everything is fine. .
One thing I have noticed, everyone is having problems with 128gb cards -Samsung and Sandisk.. Anyone having problems with smaller cards? Could it be that the S9/+ cannot read/unable to use 128gb cards? Anyone using 256gb?

Galaxy S9 SeriesI actually have tried the 256 originally (samsung I believe) a 128 and a 64 None work for any length of time. I was finally able to reroute my pictures to the phone memory so less likely to lose important pics (not just grandkids but I screenshot any receipts or messages with any form of agreement involved in them) I am actually having to use my computer for first time in I dont even know how long Just to save everything. Wondering why I bought a phone with large memory that can supposedly handle larger sd card since cant use either. Wasted a bunch of money for no reason..

Galaxy S9 SeriesUsing my Samsung 64gb card from my Note3, been in my s9 for about 2 weeks now, no issues..

Galaxy S9 SeriesFunny enough I don't have the problem everyday. Sometimes it goes without any error message for days then suddenly pops up.
I will try what you have suggested.
To be honest no wonder why Vodafone was happily giving a free 64GB SD card with my new S9+ ... Now I understand. Something went really wrong with this phone while they developing it as it cannot manage larger SD cards than 64GB. Very annoying.

Galaxy S9 SeriesInstead of going to all that trouble, Samsung has a new phone called Note 9. They will allow you $450 trade-in for your S9 then you can get the Note for an extra $550 and spend $350 for a 512GB SD card. As of this date 08/13/2018, there have not been any problems reported with the Note 9.

Galaxy S9 SeriesNot being rude but..... Really?
Why should you accept that the s9/+ is rubbish, fork out $900 for a new phone & SD card when the Note 9 is literally days old and no faults have been reported yet because no-one has found any!
Why can't Samsung acknowledge there is an issue with the s9/+ and get it sorted?
P .S. here in the UK you can swap the $ for a £ and that is what it would cost us over here, if there is a trade in option over here...
Apologise for the rant but it isn't our fault and we shouldn't be the ones who should pay for a f*** up for a company the size of Samsung!

Galaxy S9 SeriesActually the Note 9 is available for preorder here in the US at this time. Shipment will be near the end of this month. I do know about spending for phones. I purchased a Windows 950 XL for about $850. It was the best phone ever built, but Microsoft would not support it and after a few months I put it into a drawer. I spent about $850 for a S7 Edge which I loved (never had any problems). They gave me $200 trade-in on a S9 PLUS and I paid them about $680 for that. My advice is not to be an early adapter like I am, but wait until a product has been out 6 months, check the Samsung Community to see what problems have been reported. This forum does provide a very good service. It allows one to see problems with a phone they may want to purchase. I should have come here instead of purchsing without checking it out. After the Note 10 comes out I will check this forum to see if it is any good and purchase one if it is! All of their Engineers should be reading this forum because we are the customers that keep them in business!

Galaxy S9 SeriesI still have my old s2 tucked away in a drawer somewhere ... Might go back to that! 🤣🤣🤣..

Galaxy S9 SeriesI don't have it everyday either. Something is setting it off and not when taking photos or trying to save, I can't quite seem to find a pattern. It's as if the system is trying to save to SD card every now and then. I still don't have any problems saving or retrieving anything just annoying. My last post a few months back was after an update and it seemed to stop, but then came back. I just got another update last week, so again crossing fingers as it hasn't appeared again YET!
I'm more frustrated with Samsung. Is this site actually affiated with Samsung, because no one officially is posting any advice or acknowledgement of this issue, yet many of us seem to be keeping the thread alive. Maybe a moderator s role is to also assist follow up from the OEM?

Galaxy S9 SeriesI'm having the same issue and there still isn't a solution from Samsung? Really? My pictures saved on my 64gb micro SD card are randomly inaccessible which is inconvenient to say the least. Especially when trying to share photos with family members I only get to see once in awhile that aren't technologically inclined (they're quite old.)
I've tried wiping the system cache, formatting my SD card, swapping SD cards, restoring my S9 to factory settings... nothing works.

Galaxy S9 SeriesI've lost 2 64GB cards also a 32GB. Maybe my phone just has extra vendetta against memory cards hahaha. Newest one (will put in when I feel daring lol) has a warrenty if it loses anything they try to get it back or refund. Prepping for the problem ahead of time hahahaha. Hope your keeps running strong.
