S9 SD card issues

I have an S9 and I'm having so many issues with my SD card. Everything was fine for a long time  then I was having issues with images. I can take a picture, or download it just fine. I can see it stored in the app. Then after a short time, when I try to reopen the image, it says it failed to load. When I connect to my computer, it gets the same message. I thought it was just the card  so I bought a new SanDisk card, formatted it and installed it. Now I'm having the same issue AND when I try to download music from the Amazon Music app, it immediately deletes the music from the card.  It works on the device, but not the card.  I can load it, but soon after it gets deleted.  I have only used about 10% of the storage space on the card. This is so frustrating.

If this was my phone I would remove the Sd card, back up and factory reset and reinsert the sim card to see if that remedies the situation.

If not a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can run a diagnostic test on the phone.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

An update was pushed to my phone last night and it seems to be working properly. I've had a few things delete themselves, but it could have been just the large number of files I was trying to load. If it stops working again, I'll update this thread

Thanks for the update - really happy to hear this! Hopefully you won't need to update this thread. :smiling-face:

This and several other problems including one where it takes the picture it's perfect and anywhere from hours to I eventually seconds later all you have is an! In the middle of a gray screen and that's all you ever get the picture. In that case it typically also means that the phone and did up corrupting the SD card and it either will not register or registers as corrupt in any other device. And the read read-write error that shows up is another one. With everyone I've heard about I there are about a hundred attempted Solutions some work for some people for good for other people they work for a month or two for others they don't work at all. Other times it'll seem like a solution works and then the very next update restarts the problem again. Just want to wish you good luck on it and I hope you find a solution that works for you.

I'm dealing with this gray ! On about 80% of all my photos that I try to store on my SD card. I'm on a Note 9 512gb, with a Samsung SD card. What do you do with this?

Remove the SD card. I had the same glitch on my S9+.  I tried a whole bunch of different as cards, sizes, brands  ect. Plus spent right around 2 years talking with others that either have that problem or they have the one where it says error. With the grey ! It has or is corrupting it and next phone says therea no as card in the phone and it won't work in anything else either. At least 2 dozen diff times it seemed like someone found a fix but with in days or couple weeks and in 2or3 cases a couple months it was back to the same problem.

Oh and FYI what I found out more recently is that now the phone is corrupting my photos saved on it and restored back to it. I just deleted almost 150 grey ! "Pictures" that were fortunately backed up somewhere else first at least most were.

Of the ones on the SD card I took 15 of my granddaughter one day showed them to her mom opened phone 2-3in later to show the friend who was holding her and they were! All of then. I recovered 1 and not sure how unfortunately .
