Recycle bin reenabled itself and deleted files reappearing in the trash

Hi, I have an issue with the galaxy s9, 3 days ago I noticed the trash (recycle bin) in my files that I had deactivated 1 year ago was activated again and some files that I deleted in February (while the recyle bin option was off)   were present in the recycle bin up to now. I wonder if this is a Samsung software issue or if something can be done to avoid that?

And I don't have any cloud service enabled.

Do you have a Google account ?? If so then log into Google and see if anything was backed up

Hi pete007, thanks for your answer. I am connected to my google account but the google drive option is disabled and I saw that nothing was in google drive.
